SERGII + JULIA

June 11th ’09

Ah young love, what a beautiful thing! I had a great time photographing Sergii and Julia’s Wedding. Such an attractive young couple – Sergii and Julia met one and other at the Brooklyn Library. Both hail from Eastern Europe who live here in Brooklyn and are studying. The day was great, a true celebration of the two of them and the new bond they where forming. In true Russian and Ukrainian Style the Bride, Groom and all the guests had a rompin good time. We had the Ceremony at the Queens Botanical Gardens – What a great location! We got some really nice photos. We then went on a bit of a road trip through New York, hitting up 3 boroughs including some time in Central Park, for some fun, candid photos and a few Wedding portraits.

Once all the business was taken care of it was time to let the hair down (for those that have any) and enjoy the night. The reception was at a cute Russian restaurant, Restaurant Laura in Brooklyn. After some fantastic food (the Russians do great Seafood!) it was time for dancing and a few odd ball games. They were a lot of fun, to be honest, I wasn’t always sure what was going on, or what might come next ;-)

20th March ’09   JEFF + ASHLEY

Hi again, going back in time, I got a little out of wack with my postings. The Wedding of Jeff and Ashley was the first I had the pleasure photographing in New York.

With a passion for travel and adventure Jeff and Ashley had decided to get Married in Marakesh, Morrocco. To make the marriage legal they needed to have a ceremony in the US so they chose New York City as the place to make it official. Needless to say, I was thrilled to be a part of it. Jeff and Ashley said their I do’s at the New York City Hall. Jeff’s mother was unable to fly to Morrocco for the big ceremony so she had the honour of acting as the witness in New York.

Before Meeting up with Jeff and his mother Ashley and I had some fun taking photos around the West village. Ashley stayed the night at the Jane Hotel. It’s a very unique hotel with a real retro interior. It served as a great backdrop for Ashley’s vintage, 50’s inspired Wedding dress. We finished off our photo session with a ride on the subway which was a laugh! We ended up clearing out most of the subway cart as people backed further and further away thinking that they should move clear of the photographer and bride. I had to keep explaining that they were an integral part of the photos!

After the ceremony and all the paper work was signed I took Jeff and Ashley to the Brooklyn Bridge for some portraits. Mother nature put on a great sunny, March day for us!

Here are a few of the images from the day.enjoy…

23rd May ’09  Matthew + Caitlin

If anyone was wondering why half the Bars in Manhattan ran out of alcohol during the week of May 23rd it’s because we had about 25 Brits in town for Matthew and Caitlin’s Wedding.

Matthew and Caitlin had a cute ceremony at the 2nd Presbetarian Church on 96th St in Manhattan New York. It was a short and sweet ceremony that sealed the deal on the love that began across the Atlantic Ocean in the UK.

They’re a beautiful, fun loving couple and it showed through out the day and into the night. After all the formalities where taken care of we headed over to Conservatory Gardens in Central Park for a quick photo session and then met up with the bridal party and family for some pics in DUMBO around the Empire – Fulton Ferry state Park for some great shots by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Once the portraits where all done it was time to get down to eating, drinking and partying at the Water St Restaurant and Lounge – and it was a great party!
