Ang and I got to take a trip up to Boston to photograph Amma + Amir’s Wedding
Destination Wedding’s are a lot of fun, we arrived in Boston on Friday for the Saturday Wedding. This gave us a great opportunity to not only spend some extra time with A + A, but to also meet their families, hang out and be apart of the rehearsal dinner.
Before the Wedding I’d had a great meeting and a few phone conversations with A + A, so we were pretty comfortable with each other. Amma + Amir had expressed that they definitely wanted a very natural and candid style to their Wedding Photography, which was quite easy for me as the two of them make a great couple and are very relaxed and natural around the camera and one and other.
As the day started there was a little bit of a distraction around Amma’s parents house. It was the day of the USA vs Ghana world cup soccer match – Amma’s family is originally from Ghana, so you can imagine there was A LOT of interests in the game!
After the excitement from Ghana’s win had subsided the rest of day was very relaxed with a great vibe from all the guests. It was held on the grounds of the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church where Amma’s father is the pastor. Both of Amma’s parents presided over the Wedding ceremony which made the event even more special.
After the Ceremony all A + A’s guests gathered in the large marquee for some amazing food, beautiful speeches and lots of fun on the dance floor!
Having the place cards hanging from the tree was such a great idea
